Registration for Athletics

Please click HERE for information regarding the registration process for athletics here at Kempsville High School. This site includes the athletic handbook and physical forms.

Summer School

Session 1 begins June 24th and ends July 15th. Final exams for Session 1 classes will be held on July 16th. The July 16th final exams are only for Session 1 classes that will conclude on that date. Year-long courses that run in Session 1 and 2 do not give exams on July 16th and those students should not come to school on that day.

Session 2 begins on July 17th and ends on August 7th. Final exams for Session 2 and year long courses will be held on August 8th.

Fast Track courses are offered at various points throughout the summer. For questions regarding a fast track course, please contact your guidance counselor or school improvement specialist.

August 7 Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Grade 8 Mathematics (MSD)
August 8 EOC Make-Up Testing

AP Information

Attention Parents and students that are taking at least one AP course next school year.  The AP Teachers are looking forward to meeting all of their class enrollees and to distribute summer assignments.  This year, we are asking all students to check in with all of your AP Teachers and collect your summer assignments and accompanying text by Friday, June 6.  Parents, please check with you children to ensure the summer assignment has been collected.  Click HERE to access summer assignment information. Summer Operating Hours

Please be advised that Kempsville High School will be operating on the four-day work week schedule from June 16, 2014 through August 15, 2014. During this time operating hours will be 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday -Thursday. The building will be closed on Fridays. Student registrations will be accomodated until 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

StudentVUE Access for All Secondary Students!

Students can now access their grades and attendance through the Student Information System StudentVUE. For instructions on how to access this resource, click HERE. Please note that while this site is available from anywhere with internet access, the route used to access it depends on whether working from with the school network (from school) or outside the school network (from home).

Student Email Accounts for ALL High School Students

Click HERE to get more information about student email accounts. Virginia Beach City Public Schools is providing all high school students with an "@vbstudents.com" email account to be used for educational purposes. Students are asked to read through the Office 365 Student Setup Instruction for clear instructions on how to synchronize their school email account with their current network information and get started using Office 365. Students are also asked to read the Student Email Guidelines which provides information about acceptable use and etiquette.

SACS External Review

SOL Tutoring

SOL tutoring for any subject is offered daily during study blocks. If it is an A day, it is in room 801. If it is a B day, it is in room 602. Additional math tutoring is available in the library every 4A.
