The PSAT will be given at KHS on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 7:20 am. The PSAT is a Preliminary Scholastic Achievement Test that measures skills important for success in college. We will be testing all 10th and 11th grade students, and a select number of 9th grade students who are enrolled in Honors English 9, Geometry Honors, Algebra 2, Algebra 2/Trig, or AVID 9. All other Freshman are to report to the GYM for the Freshman Program. Seniors need to report to the Auditorium for the Senior Program. Seniors who go to ATC or Vo Tech in the morning may choose to participate in the Senior Assembly, but they are responsible for notifying their teacher and Mrs. Hodges in the attendance office prior to October 15. Morning ATC and Vo Tech 10th and 11th graders are expected to participate in the PSAT. The teachers will be notified of their absence. Afternoon ATC and Vo Tech students will report to ATC/Vo Tech as usual. Students may use a calculator during the math portion of the test, but they must bring their own. The school will not provide calculators. We will only have ONE bus run that day, at the regular time. We will follow an adjusted schedule for the remainder of the day. Due to the adjusted schedule, lunches will also be shortened.
